This is the filter located inside the ball of your vacuum. The filter is designed to filter out bacteria and germs, it can be washed but must be dry before putting back into the machine.

That is why some people have a spare set of filters. Will fit all DC50 vacuums no matter the colour or version. We also have the pre filters for this model (see below)
